About the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame

Madison scouts Hall of Fame

Forged from humble beginnings in 1920, the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps has established itself as a premier youth performing arts organization on the modern drum and bugle corps scene. Over a century since its formation, the Madison Scouts has been molded by many individuals who have gone above and beyond to make the corps what it is today.

Established in 2022, the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame honors the outstanding achievements of instructors, designers, administrators, performers, and volunteers who have impacted the Madison Scouts organization in monumental ways throughout its long history. Their contributions reflect the high level of training received, and leadership experience gained as a Madison Scout.

The Madison Scouts Hall of Fame will serve as the vehicle to honor great Madison Scouts and ensure the legacy of these individuals and the ideals they embody are preserved and carried forward.

The recognition award for the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame is a recreation of a sculpture called “The Ideal Scout,” awarded to C.H. Beebe in the 1950s. The Ideal Scout sculpture is also depicted in the hall logo.

Nominations are accepted using the official online form or the PDF version. All nominations must be submitted by December 31st to be considered for the following year's class of inductees.

We are proud to announce the 2025 class of the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame, a group of extraordinary individuals whose dedication, leadership, and service have left a lasting legacy on our organization. This year’s inductees include longtime volunteers Ollie Mae Banks, Barb Loeffelholz, Pat Omilianowski, and Henry Barney; member and instructor Chris Forbes; member, instructor, and board member Doug Tholo; and founding member and one of our original drum majors, Edward “EB” Matthews. Each has played a unique and vital role in shaping the spirit and success of the Madison Scouts.

The 2024 Class of the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame will be recognized and toasted during ceremonies at the 2024 Madison Scouts Hall of Fame Drums on Parade Tailgate hosted by MSAA. Kent Eversmeyer, MSAA& Hall of Fame Committee Chairman says, "It is fitting to honor our inductees and their servant leadership to the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps by having 100% of the proceeds from the MSAA-hosted Tailgate go to the C.H. Beebe Scholarship fund that directly supports life changing opportunities and experiences to the current members of our beloved drum corps".

The Madison Scouts, Forward Performing Arts, and the Madison Scouts Alumni Association will announce the second class of inductees into the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame at Drums on Parade July 1st. This year's class follows the 2022 inaugural class that included C. H. Beebe, William Howard, and Scott Stewart. The Madison Scouts Hall of Fame honors individuals who have participated and achieved at the highest level in the Madison Scouts organization throughout its long and storied history.
